Using Soft Certificates with PEXA

When issuing certificates please ensure that all the details you have provided us with match what you have registered with PEXA. Because we can’t access or verify the information PEXA holds for individual users, we’re unable to confirm whether the details you provided match their records. This means making sure your certificate details match PEXA is your responsibility.

The main reason we see that the Certificate is not being recognised is that at least one of the following does not match what's registered within the PEXA space.

  1. The first name
  2. Middle names (if any)
  3. The last name
  4. The legal entity name
  5. The ABN of the entity

If any of the above do not match what's registered in PEXA, the certificate will not be recognised.

You can check the Certificate by searching in windows:

  1. Press the windows key and search "Manage User Certificates"
  2. Click "Personal"
  3. Click "Certificates"
  4. Find the Certificate associated with the entity and issued by Gatekeeper Issuing CA303 and double click it
  5. Click "Details"
  6. Click "Subject"
  7. Ensure the CN = Firstname + Middle name (if any in PEXA) + Last name
  • Example: CN = John Doe
  1. Ensure O = Legal Entity Name
  • Example: COGITO GROUP PTY LTD
  1. Ensure E = email
  1. Scroll down slightly and click "1.2.36.1.333.1" (This is the OID for ABN)
  • On the right-hand side of the panel, you should see "...ABN"
  • Example "...20151795998"

Keep in mind that these are likely all case sensitive so any differences will cause this issue.
